CONCEPT
.8 / TENHACHIとは「0.8」。20％の「余白」がある状態です。
私たちの描く完成予想図は、工事が完了した時ではありません。
都市や街、家とは時間の流れ共に年を経り、そして人が使うことで芽生え、いい感じ、いい風合いになっていくものです。
そのために大事なことは素材感だったり、空間と周辺環境とのつながりだったり、利便性とは似て異なる空間の豊かさを優先することだったり、、、
そうして、.8の状態から始まって、大切に使われ続けることで、長い年月をかけ100に向かうような建物や空間を創ることが、私たちの想いです。
そんな「未来」を思い描くような未完成なデザイン活動でありたいという意思を込めて、.8/TENHACHIと名付けました。
.8 / TENHACHI means “0.8” in Japanese and it refers to 20% blank left.
The idea of our design is not complete when the construction finishes.
The city and houses age as time goes with the nature and people surrounding them, giving life and character to the place.
These are what we value and believe: the sense of material, the relationship between space and the surrounding environment, the richness of the space, which is often opposed to convenience.
It is our desire to create buildings and spaces that are cared for and used for many years, started out as 0.8.
.8/TENHACHI was named from the intention of wanting to be an incomplete design activity that envisions our idea of the future.
